Justin's had a nasty cold for over a week now and his coughing through the night has left the other three of us who sleep in the bedroom temporarily bed-less. This has been our nightly sleep haven for the past 4 nights. I'm experimenting with using the boppy as a pillow tonight. My regular one takes up too much space, not giving me much leg room with the dog at my feet. I continue to get fabulous use out of my mom's knit afghan and the quilt my Aunt Janet made for me upon graduating high school. No wonder I've been inspired to take crafty classes :)
Parker will likely learn to climb into Madeleine's crib before she ever attempts to climb out. Her highly sensitive nature has definitely set us back on some things...like moving to a big girl bed. But all in due time.

the black kitty picture is hilarious and so precious at the same time. definitely hang onto that one for use at a later time with her :-) Soren likes to wear necklaces too. I'm not sure about hair clips though, we don't have any yet (Elsa doesn't really have any hair yet though) and I just cut Soren's hair short again, so I don't think he could get it to stay in if he tried. Here's hoping for a night back in your own bed! Maybe you could trade for a night if Justin's still sick? Sorry Justin... not trying to kick you out of your bed, but sharing is a nice thing to teach our kids ;-)
"lopsided knockers" hahhahhaaaaa
In my (Justin's) defense, I've offered to sleep down stairs but Mel has folded up the air matress (which she also could have used if she wanted to) and has place her new stair machine in the guest room. I've offered to set the room back up but still she declined. I'm not quite the tyrant I'm painted to be, though I can't say having the bed to myself hasn't been a little nice.--the cougher
There are so many responses I have to each photo, I can't even begin to expel them fast enough. First, and funniest is Madeleine nesting black kitty! So many emotions, the first being "how funny!" and then "how sweet..." and then, "oh, is she going to have fun with this when she's a teen-er". And then there's Parker's "melt your heart" face. What a doll! And then Melinda. We all can empathize (and yes it does get better). By the way, "I" still have my afghan made by an aunt from my 1974 graduation!!! Pathetic, I think not. Hang on for posterity sake. And Justin, Hope you are feeling better. And, get that nose fixed! Keep up the great stories. We loooooooove them all.
