I've still got it

Twelve years have passed but I've still got it! We don't have any pictures proving that I survived the first soccer game of the season but Justin, Parker, and Madeleine were witnesses. They made it to the second half of the game and missed two of my four shots on goal (none went in) but Madeleine made sure to cheer "go Momma go" lots to make up for not getting there earlier. I had so much fun! I had forgotten how much I love playing the game and although my body was about 12 feet behind my mind, I had enough horsepower to give a few girls a run for their money. I'm definitely sore today but not as incapacitated as I thought I'd be. The other girls on the team were kind, supportive, and goofy. I'm really excited for next week! Oh yeah...and we won 5-1.

As for Maggie, we were able to be seen this morning by our regular vet who is a wonderful lady. She spent over 30 minutes examining Maggie's legs and explaining her theories to me. Per her advice, Mags' on anti-inflammatory medicine for two more weeks and a nutritional supplement for life. If she's still limping in two weeks, then we'll go for x-rays.

Finally, the new washing machine is in place. It was a minor fiasco acquiring the machine but once we had it we got the new one in and the old one out and without argument or injury. Tomorrow I dedicate myself to laundry.

That's cool you're doing soccer again! I guess we're all getting back into our "high school/college" sports again - I've been trying to run races again too! :-) We are really enjoying being soccer parents too, even though I never played, but Scott did. Glad Maggie has a treatment plan now. And congrats on the new freecycle find!

That is so exciting that you are getting back into soccer! I have been looking for a league myself here in Ohio.

Hope Maggie feels better soon; poor pooch!
