No, Junior hasn't come early and we haven't gotten a puppy or a kitten. Here she is:
This is the latest in our attempt to prepare Madeleine for her new baby brother. Personally I've never been much of a baby doll person but at our last appointment at The Birth Center Madeleine was fascinated by the demo baby our midwife had. We decided to give it a try. Fortunately Justin found the only non-pooping, non-crying, non-talking, non-blinking doll at the store. Madeleine has hung out with her all morning, much to our surprise and delight. It may or may not help her to adjust to a baby brother but it's kept her quite entertained which is always a bonus.

As your friend, may I just remind you of your entry on July 28th, 2008, of never moving again pregnant...Do you think you will have to move before Jr. is born?
OH MY GOD!!! I love the pictures of Madeleine checking out the doll! I wish I could have been there, but then she probably would have been too shy to investigate! I am curious to hear about how the relationship progresses...please keep us posted!
congratulations!!!! he's (it's) beautiful! ;) but seriously, what fun photos and entertainment :)
I actually got Ethan a "baby brother" doll to prepare for his baby brother, Caleb, coming. It surprisingly helped a lot! Scott was a little unsure of him having a doll, but we still have it, and it was especially helpful when Caleb was brand new and I would be feeding him, changing his diaper, etc. and I could tell Ethan to get his baby brother and he would give him his bottle, or change his diaper etc. It made him feel like he was a part of things, and was doing things like mommy. :-)
