Grass update

The neighbor (retired and in his late 70s) on our other side offered to let us use his mower after helpfully commenting, "I couldn't help but notice how long your grass is." If Parker can stay awake long enough this evening, hopefully we can get it done tonight. I'm guessing if we go much longer the same neighbor listed above might offer to do it for us with his riding lawn mower. Maybe we'll wait after all...

We have a very similar neighbor, however he just takes it upon himself to mow our yard whenever he feels it necessary.

Maybe you'll get lucky and have a neighbor just the same. (I've found it helps to give him homemade baked goods -we choose fresh baked bread) :)

That's funny! At least you don't have the homeowner's association leaving a letter in your mailbox telling you to mow your tall lawn down! (I'm embarrassed to say that happened to us once . . . but hey, what can we say, life got in the way of grass! I think Ethan was a newborn and Scott was working 2 jobs! It happens!) :-)

is this the neighbor that took the previous owner's tenants to the store to buy a lawn mower?

Yup, that's the guy! For those of you who don't know, the college kids who lived here before us NEVER mowed so one day the neighbor told them to do it. They said they didn't have a lawn mower. He said they sell them at Walmart for $100. They said they didn't have a car that it would fit in if they bought it so he drove them in his pick-up and drove it back for them. He's not a poopy old man, as a matter of fact he's quite entertaining and enjoyable, but I don't think he has much to do besides check out the neighbors' yards.
