June snow. No, it's not the name of a flower

Yes, it's June 10th and we're expecting 2 to 4 inches of snow tonight! It snowed earlier today and stuck for a little while but melted quickly. And wouldn't you know it's supposed to be in the 70s by the end of the week! I guess I'd rather be in our situation than enduring the heat so many of you are getting back East. It's ironic though that we're busy running our heat while you have the AC on full blast. Our neighbor across the street just had his central air unit installed yesterday and today. We made sure to make fun of him :)

Yes, we did. Around 6am yesterday there was about 2 inches on the ground. My poor tomato plants had an inch of heavy snow sitting on them (they still survived) but by mid-morning the snow had all melted and turned to rain. The mountains all around town got dumped on though...at least a foot! I wanted to take a picture of the snow but was too lazy to find the camera early yesterday so you'll have to take my word for it :)
